So many arty activities use paint, and whilst an ARTventurer household is never without such a staple. I know many of you may not have quite as much me! With that in mind, here are some simple paint recipes for you to create your own paint at home.
This is the simplest paint recipe that we have – although at the moment I know flour is hard to come by so please be a responsible consumer and don’t go buying flour, particularly for this activity.
This one is LOTS of fun but it can be tricky to get right! You really need the heat so not one to be made with little ones but they will really enjoy using it!
Now this one has had mixed reviews for us as we have some non-jelly fans – but it is definitely worth a try if you have jelly at home. Plus it tastes AMAZING!!
This is our favourite for this fabulously sunny weather. Can be made easily using an ice cube tray and lolly sticks – or use an ice lolly mould if you have one handy. Just watch out for little ones popping ice into their mouths. It is a great sensory experience but please be mindful of choking hazards.
These are just some of our favourite painting recipes. Give them a go and send me over a picture if you do. Please don’t make any unnecessary journies for supplies, Stay home and keep safe.
Missing you all lots,
